About KC Winslow

When you ask KC how she first got into Real Estate, she’ll jokingly tell you that she was born a Real Estate Agent. In High School, KC was the receptionist at her Mother’s Independent Real Estate firm, Connors Realty. In 1981, the summer between her Junior and Senior year at Boston University, at the age of 19, KC earned her Real Estate Salesperson’s license from the Lee Institute of Brookline. Immediately following graduation from BU, with a degree in Marketing in hand, KC began working as a Salesperson at Harbor Towers in Boston, a 624-unit apartment/condo complex, in the height of Boston’s condominium-conversion craze.

 

Once the project was complete, KC thought she would try her hand at something different. KC was drawn to the excitement of the Trade Show and Event industry. She loved the high intensity of working up to being ready for a show, or as she calls it, “show ready”. As KC always knew, she would eventually return to Real Estate. But that “show-ready” attitude carried over perfectly to the Real Estate business. Putting a listing on the market is exactly like getting ready for a show!

In 1986, KC married her husband of 39 years, Stephen Winslow, and began traveling from state to state, including seven in all, buying and selling houses along the way, as Steve’s career path took them to many exciting places. KC will tell you that these personal buying and selling experiences have proven invaluable as she relates to and advises her clients.

In 2004, just as KC’s youngest of three sons was entering Kindergarten, KC launched her full-time Real Estate career in Concord at Barrett and Company, the same great Real Estate company that she is with today, which is now Barrett Sotheby’s International Realty. At the same time, with that “show-ready” mentality in mind, KC obtained her Certificate in Professional Staging from the American Re-Design Institute.

Twenty-one years later, KC loves her job! She knows her market inside and out and, as an over - $ over-$150,000,000-million-dollar producer and Real Trends Verified Top Massachusetts Agent in 2023 and 2024, is well respected in the industry and community. She has been an active delivery person for Meals on Wheels for the past 12 years and an enthusiastic town committee volunteer. KC has served as a member of the Concord Housing Authority for five years, the Concord Cemetery Committee for seven years, the Concord Public Works Commission for 6 years, and, most recently, just wrapped up five years on the Concord 250 Hospitality Committee.

 

She is a firm believer in community engagement to stay connected and of course, give back to the community that she so loves. KC and her husband live in Concord, where they raised their three sons, enjoy gardening, star/moon gazing, and forever appreciating the beauty of the natural world that surrounds us!
